Youth Programs

Wee Savers

This primary goal of Wee Savers is to teach young adults financial literacy.  Participants understand the role money plays in acquiring personal goals.  This program is designed to develop awareness and understand the importance of wise financial decisions. Through activities participants experience the real life skills of basic investing, saving, and credit preservation. This project runs in conjunction with our Foundation, Ten Pearls, Inc.

Operation Big Book Bag

Based out of the South Bronx, we are faced every day with poverty and many students who don’t have basic school supplies.  Each year the Foundation provides much needed school supplies and other academic resources to students in the Bronx.

Annual Sigma Youth Symposium

Our Annual Sigma Youth Symposium addresses major topics that affect our youth today such as gang violence, and teen pregnancy. Sponsored in conjunction with and in commemoration of Sigma Week, the Sigma Youth Symposium was designed to highlight some of the prevalent concerns that negatively impact our youth: drugs, teen violence, abuse, low self-esteem, suicide, teen pregnancy, etc. Held on the second Saturday of March by each Alumnae Chapter, simultaneous Sigma Youth Symposiums address issues that affect teens today. Chapters nationwide will host the symposiums as a unified effort to support youth.
