Our Executive Board is comprised of 8 strong, hardworking women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. Theta Rho Sigma Chapter is proud to have you lead as our dynamic Executive Board for 2021-2022.


Soror Washington was initiated in the Spring 1992, via “Too Fly” Alpha Pi Chapter. She is the current Basileus for Theta Rho Sigma chapter and a Charter Member of Theta Rho Sigma. Soror Washington was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. via the Alpha Pi New York City Metropolitan Chapter. She graduated with a Bachelor’s  of Science Degree in Nursing. Soror Washington went on to further her education and is presently working on her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education. Soror Washington is passionate about Sigma and actively working on maintaining the Trendsetting brand of Theta Rho Sigma Chapter.

Dr. President-Ravenell was initiated in the Spring 1995, via “Too Fly” Alpha Pi Chapter. She is the present Anti-Basileus for Theta Rho Sigma Chapter and a Charter Member of Theta Rho Sigma. Dr. President-Ravenell is a scholar, with four degrees under her belt, including a Doctoral Degree. Dr. President-Ravenell is an Educator by trade, and an entrepeneur by spirit. She owns 2 LLCs and has a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting STEM programs to girls of color. She is very excited to bring in quality members to the chapter. 

Soror Liburd is the current Grammateus for Theta Rho Sigma.

Soror Tingman is Anti-Grammateus and Editor in Chief of the Pulse for Theta Rho Sigma chapter.

Soror Smith-Alston was inducted through Theta Rho Sigma in Spring 2014.  Soror Smith-Alston received her Bachelor’s degree from The College of New Rochelle in 2011. She also has a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling- with a School Counseling Certification, and a CASAC-T from Mercy College. Soror Smith-Alston is  currently a Community Outreach Case Manager in a Harlem, NY Senior Center. Her focus in Sigma is Mental Health. Her goal in Sigma is to hold Regional and Nationals positions. 

Soror Thompson was inducted into the sisterhood of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated through the Trendsetting Theta Rho Sigma Bronx Alumnae Chapter in Spring 2019. Soror Thompson received her Bachelor’s degree from Medgar Evers College in Psychology. Soror Thompson then went on to receive a Master’s of Social Work and her CASAC-T from Lehman College. Soror Thompson currently holds two full-time jobs, working in Child Welfare as a Family Foster Care Supervisor and for the Department of Health as a COVID-19 Case Investigator. Soror Thompson serves as a member of a committee on all sorority levels, including NER Achievement & Awards, Special Boule Core Team, and National Public Relations. Her goal in Sigma is to continue to grow personally and professionally within the sisterhood.

Soror Vilceus was inducted into the sisterhood of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated through Upsilon Alpha Chapter in Spring 2016.  Soror Vilceus received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland in 2016 in Childhood and Early Childhood Education. Soror Vilceus is also pursuing her Master degree from Hunter College in Special Education. Soror Vilceus currently works as a seventh grade math teacher.  Her focus in Sigma is provide activities that promote sisterhood for members and aspirants. Additionally, she has held the position of Community Service chair, Sigma Sunshine chair, and Anti- Grammateus. As the current Parliamentarian, Soror Vilceus’ goal in Sigma is to refine the use of Robert’s Rules of Order during business meetings.

Dr. Jacobs attended Boston University where she joined Sigma Gamma Rho; Kappa Nu chapter in June 1999. Dr. Jacobs graduated from Life University, College of Chiropractic Medicine (Marietta, GA) in 2006. She believes in every principle of healthy living; one of the sorority’s hallmark service initiatives. Dr. Jacobs appreciates the cooperation of ALL areas of health care and is the founding owner of Jacobs Healthcare Group. Dr. Jacobs participates in multiple philanthropic and professional associations. She also sits on the Northeastern Region Board of Directors as the NY – New England Area Coordinator. She has also been appointed a position on the Board of Directors for the NY Association of Medical Massage. She continues to support her home chapter of Viola Hart Felton no 584, OESPHA, in Riverdale, GA.  Dr. Jacobs is a life member of the sorority who has so much love for Area 4.
